Maekake 前掛け means apron in Japanese. It comes from an old western and japanese clothes store called Kamata. The denim like fabric is quite thick and resistant. You can use it to keep clean while doing craftwork or cooking in the kitchen.
Obvious fact: Cooking is more fun than doing the dishes but dishes are more fun with a Japanese apron on. It is scientifically proven.
